I was really pissed at work on wednesday. Early in the morning, i had to be 'cleaning auntie'. I'm not trying to be demeaning, it's juz so so irritating. I was assigned the task of updating the numbers board in our office. This board states all the conferences that are coming up for the coming month(s) and states how many bookings each conference received each day. When I was first assigned the task, I was asked to paste the conference title on the board, with scotch tape. Alas, when I took the tape out on tues evening, i realised that the sticky tapes left sticky marks on the board which looked really ugly. I brought nail polish remover to clean, and the senior exec was KB-ing the whole time abt how easy it is with lighter fluid. But she cannot clean cos she got nail polish on. "It's very easy one, just take the wet tissue and soak it with lighter fluid. Then it will come out one. SEE" *sticky surface comes off with black patch* Yah.. I had to clean off the black patch. So pissed.. spent 2 hrs cleaning. & then comment again "it's neater to print out and paste. maybe this time we use blue tack" Yah, the person doing the job is me lo. Easy for her to say. Yday we shifted seat. & now, instead of being able to tok to me, she literally has to shout if she wants to talk to me. & that's what she did. Commanding me to listen to her instructions when I was walking past her, commanding that I pick up the phone when I didn't (which wasnt my fault. she called my ext but my phone is not ringing. the lines got screwed up. Blessing in disguise) She usually distributes the mail for the department, and now, she just told the receptionist to pass to me to distribute. Apparently, it's autocracy. Not democracy. Sigh. As much as I think she's damn irritating... I still gotta work with her. I guess stress either brings out the best, or the worst in people. I think it brought the worse in me many times aleady... I'm glad she doesnt have to be my best friend. I just got to work with her. Oh Lord. |
